Batteries for Cordless Power Tools
Batteries rather than an electrical cord supply power to cordless power tools. You don't have to worry about finding an outlet or having to use an extension cord with cordless power tools. Batteries make it easier to manipulate these tools. No cord will get in the way when you using the tool. Nothing is more frustrating - or more dangerous - that drilling or screwing through a power cord.
Many cordless power tools have interchangeable batteries. The same battery that fits the drill also fits a screwdriver and any other tools that are compatible. Make sure you are using the proper batteries with your cordless tool, and after use, make sure to recharge them so that they'll be ready for the next job. A good idea is to have two batteries available. One battery should be on the charger while the other is in use. This way, there will always be a fresh battery ready to go so that there is no interruption in your work flow.
Cordless Tool Kits
Cordless tool kits come in various models and brands. They all have one thing in common, however: Each tool in the kit uses the same battery. Buying cordless tool kits is an inexpensive way acquiring many cordless power tools at once. Depending on the size of the kit, you may find that you have purchased as many as five or six tools, as well as accompanying accessories, for one price. Most cordless tool kits include a hammer drill and at least one type of saw. Others come with these tools as well as a portable lighting source. Interchangeable batteries and a charger are included. There are several brands of cordless tool kits. Which brand you prefer depends on personal preference.
Cordless tool kits make excellent gifts for newlyweds. They would also be an appropriate housewarming gift. Most cordless tools are light enough that they can be handled by both men and women, even when the battery pack is installed.
Don't Leave on Vacation without RV Hardware
RV hardware is meant to be used in recreational vehicles. While a product may look similar to one that is used elsewhere, it will often have specialized modifications that make it suitable for use in an RV. RV hardware includes jack releases, jack pads, and tools for storing and hanging items. These usually have suction cups or other ways of attaching "screw-in" articles to a surface. Other types of RV hardware include specialized RV clips. These clips use adhesive backing rather than suction cups or other attachment options, and can be mounted anywhere they are needed. They are used to hold such items as hoses, brooms, light sports equipment, rods for hanging clothing, and other items. Some clips are even lined with foam or another cushioning material. This prevents damage to the object being stored as well as to the RV. This is yet another example of specialized hardware.
